About Family Contact

We understand the importance of maintaining positive contact between children and their families. Our team works to develop close links between children and their parents, promoting a sense of identity and origins.

We facilitate regular and consistent contact in a friendly and relaxed environment agreed upon by both parties. In cases where conflict arises, our goal is to enable children to engage in normal activities with their parent while minimizing restrictions.

As a contact facilitator, you will play a vital role in facilitating face-to-face contact, changeovers, and other interactions between parents and children.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating face-to-face contact and ensuring a safe environment for all parties involved
  • Providing detailed narratives after each visit, highlighting key interactions, behaviors, emotions, and communication between parents and children
  • Intervening during visits when necessary to ensure the well-being and safety of the child

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. You should also have experience working with children and be able to communicate effectively with parents and children alike.

Our ideal candidate will hold a Working with Children Check (Employee) certification, a valid driver's license, and prior experience working with children. Mandatory report knowledge, non-judgmental attitude, and proficiency in written and verbal communication are essential skills for this position.

We offer a flexible employment arrangement with opportunities for afternoon shifts, day shifts, public holidays, and weekend availability. Travel reimbursement and penalty rates are included in the benefits package.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of families and children across Australia. If you are passionate about family contact and possess the required skills and experience, we encourage you to apply.
