Child Contact Facilitator Role

At Family Hopes, we provide supervised contact services to help families maintain positive relationships with their children.

Our Child Contact Facilitator role is crucial in ensuring a safe and child-friendly environment for visits between parents and their children.

We are seeking a dedicated individual who can facilitate face-to-face contact, changeovers, and other activities that promote a healthy relationship between parents and their children.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a detailed narrative of each visit, including observations of the child's behavior, emotions, and interactions with both parents.

Additionally, they will ensure that agreed-upon locations are safe and suitable for visits, communicate effectively with parents through WhatsApp, and intervene when necessary to prevent conflict or stress.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a safe and child-friendly environment for visits
  • Facilitating face-to-face contact and changeovers
  • Providing a detailed narrative of each visit
  • Communicating effectively with parents and staff
  • Intervening when necessary to prevent conflict or stress

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • A Driver's License
  • Experience working with children
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • No Criminal Record
  • Excellent retention of information
  • Mandatory Report knowledge
  • Non-judgmental attitude
  • Preferably Family Court knowledge
