About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Resource Advisor to join our team at the Australian College of Applied Professions. As a key member of our learning resources team, you will be responsible for cultivating an online information resource environment and providing support to students via our Learning Hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Digital Collection Management: Curate, organise, and maintain digital collections, ensuring easy access to e-books, databases, journals, and multimedia resources.
  • Resource Acquisition & Collaboration: Collaborate with staff to assess and acquire new learning resources based on user needs and trends.
  • Physical and Digital Resource Oversight: Manage the acquisition, cataloguing, and circulation processes for both digital and physical learning resources.
  • Learning Hub Support: Assist students with effective use of learning resources, provide training on research techniques, and troubleshoot technical issues related to the Learning Hub and online resources.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with faculty to integrate resources into the curriculum, participate in team meetings, and ensure a cohesive, user-friendly experience across learning resources.
  • Policies & Procedures Adherence: Follow and contribute to the development of policies related to resource management, ensuring compliance with copyright laws, licensing agreements, and intellectual property rights.
Requirements
  • Library Science Qualification: Completed or in-progress.
  • Library or Educational Experience: Including volunteer or student placements.
  • Digital Resource Management: Proficiency with cataloguing, databases, and learning management systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including research tools and basic troubleshooting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse user groups.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong time management and attention to detail.
