Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Inventory Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing the company's inventory, ensuring a continuous and optimal supply of materials to support our production operations.

The Inventory Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of inventory records, liaising with vendors, and implementing processes to minimize costs and maximize working capital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our inventory management system, and managing stocktakes and cycle counts.
  • Process Improvement: Assisting with the implementation of new systems and processes to reduce inventory, minimize costs, and maximize working capital.
  • Coordination & Communication: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Preparing regular reports, managing shortages, excess and ageing stock, and ensuring all activities comply with company policies, quality management processes, and OH&S requirements.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar inventory control role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Sound knowledge of SAP R/3 MM and experience with a warehouse management system (preferably Manhattan Scale).
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong administrative capabilities.
  • A high degree of accuracy with close attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and effectively manage resources.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Knowledge of customs import and export procedures, including tariff codes, duty, and general freight terminology.
