About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced trainer to join our team in delivering civil construction units for Advanced Diploma programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the civil construction industry and be able to develop, improve, and deliver high-quality training materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver High-Quality Training: Provide engaging and effective instruction based on curriculum requirements and maintain high standards of teaching.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Record student attendance and progress accurately, following College policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Effective Learning: Monitor classroom learning outcomes, provide feedback, and support students' educational development.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry standards and maintain up-to-date qualifications, actively participating in professional development opportunities.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Adhere to the Code of Conduct, report incidents, manage OH&S matters, and contribute to meetings and other relevant activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Education: This qualification will demonstrate your ability to design and deliver training programs.
  • Relevant Degree in Civil/Construction Field: A degree in civil engineering or a related field will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver civil construction units.
  • Civil Construction Industry Background: At least 2 years of experience in the civil construction industry is preferred, but not essential.
  • Understanding and Supportive of Students' Diverse Needs: You will need to be understanding and supportive of students' diverse needs and learning paces.
  • Experience Working with International Students: Experience working with international students in the delivery and assessment of vocational education and training is highly desirable.
