Job Title: Power Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Power Engineer to join our team in power production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe and cost-efficient operation of high-pressure boiler turbine units and associated auxiliary equipment.
  • Work effectively as a member of the Power Production Operations Team and be capable of functioning in a planned work environment.
  • Participate in competency-based training, regulatory training, and on-the-job training programs.
  • Responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Support solid environmental performance of the plant and participate in ISO 14001 processes and initiatives.

As a Power Engineer, you will be required to:

  • Hold a 2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate and have a minimum of three years' experience as a Power Engineer in a generating station or industry with similar processes.
  • Demonstrate acceptable color vision for operation of control monitoring equipment.
  • Have proven problem resolution skills and flexibility to adapt to rescheduled assignments.
  • Be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong computer aptitude, and the ability to deal with multiple tasks and demands.

Requirements:
  • 2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate.
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Power Engineer in a generating station or industry with similar processes.
  • Able to lift 10-25 lbs. from the floor to overhead on an occasional basis and carry 50 lbs. with two hands.
  • Must be able to sit constantly, using frequent finger dexterity while using minimal grip strength.
