Key Responsibilities

The Compliance Team's role is vital in identifying and supporting the management of environmental compliance risks for the business.

  • Assure Shell's environmental compliance on the east coast of Australia by partnering with the business, identifying issues, and delivering high-quality strategies and implementation plans.
  • Manage regulatory and environment risk through the ISO14001 accredited management system, championing and contributing to Shell QGC's certified EMS.
  • Provide environment oversight, contributing to the delivery of Shell Australia's environmental assurance programs, including 3rd party audits, ISO audits, internal assurance, and incident management.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a technical/environment/law related discipline.
  • Working knowledge and experience in the application of State and national environmental legislation, policy, and standards.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues succinctly.
  • Experience in the development, improvement, and implementation of ISO14001 environmental management systems integrated within business management systems.
