Deputy Principal Position

This role offers the opportunity to work in a small rural high school, supporting the Principal in leading and managing the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Principal in leading the school and implementing strategic directions.
  • Promote the school within the community and develop partnerships.
  • Lead and manage a small rural high school, including expertise in administrative technology and organisational systems.
  • Develop proactive strategies to support the wellbeing of all students.

Requirements:

  • Successful teaching experience with the ability to improve teaching, learning and classroom practice.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality teaching programs.
  • Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Aboriginal education policy.
