Job Title: Senior Medical Practitioner - Rural Health Education Leadership

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical practitioner to lead our rural health education programs in Dubbo and Orange. As Head of the Rural Clinical School, you will be responsible for overseeing academic activities, delivering the medical program, and managing external partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Lead the clinical school and oversee academic activities, including delivery of the medical program at Dubbo and Orange">
  • Manage external partnerships with local communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Federal and State Governments, local health districts, and medical staff councils">
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the standing of the clinical school, school, faculty, and University in rural areas">
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve rural health outcomes and workforce education">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A strong commitment to rural health and education">
  • Experience in people leadership and management within the higher education sector and/or health sector">
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and operational management practices">
  • A deep understanding of the University's 2032 Strategic Plan and organisational culture">
  • A PhD in a relevant academic field or equivalent qualification/experience, an excellent academic track record, and an international reputation in their field (for academic professorial appointments)">

Benefits:

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for five years, subject to completion of a satisfactory probation period. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to apply for further appointments subject to performance and funding. A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications will be offered.
