We are seeking a skilled Theatre Orderly to join our team and provide exceptional patient care.

Job Description

This role involves ensuring the safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatre, demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care and supporting nursing staff within the perioperative environment.

  • Transfer patients safely to and from the operating theatre
  • Provide effective patient handling and positioning
  • Set up theatres for procedures
  • Maintain a safe patient environment, including cleaning and setup of theatres
  • Support nursing staff in the perioperative environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Theatre Orderly in the healthcare industry (desirable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently
  • Availability for a range of shifts across a 6-day rotating roster
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop knowledge of hospital procedures
  • Positive attitude, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Understanding of manual handling and infection control procedures
  • Unrestricted NSW drivers' licence
