We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at Petbarn, Australasia's leading pet specialty retailer. With over 230 locations throughout Australia and New Zealand, we offer a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to the overall success of our store. You will work closely with our team to achieve sales targets, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and provide a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including pet care and nutrition, to provide expert advice to customers
  • Contribute to the achievement of sales targets, through effective merchandising and sales techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the stockroom and sales floor
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve store goals and objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers of all ages and backgroundsHigh school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a retail or sales environmentAbility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidaysPhysical ability to lift heavy items, such as bags of dog foodStrong merchandising skills, with the ability to create visually appealing displaysWhat We Offer
