Health Data Analyst Position Overview

This role involves working as a key contributor to the development of our health organisation's population health analysis capabilities.

The responsibilities include sourcing, interpreting and analysing population health data to inform decision-making on improvement initiatives.

It is ideal for someone with experience in a health environment or a background in Health Informatics or MSBI.

As an epidemiology expert, you will work closely with healthcare professionals and researchers to understand trends and patterns in health data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate, identify, interpret, analyse and prepare population-based and epidemiological data.
  • Provide insights in Power BI Dashboards (DAX) and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and build internal relationships to guide them.
  • Identify health trends and provide insights based on health data.
  • Prepare written reports, articles and oral presentations as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant Degree qualifications in IT, health or health sciences or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in Power BI and DAX.
  • Experience in the health industry sector is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in ETL, SQL, Python, R, SPSS.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Australian working rights.
