The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor is crucial to the success of our hotel in Cairns. This position serves as a stepping stone for career advancement in Housekeeping.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to have excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with both guests and colleagues. You must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and motivate your team to achieve high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Manage daily room inspections to ensure duties are completed efficiently and meet service standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, including payroll and billing information, while adhering to hospitality industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance and productivity.
  • Foster a safe working environment and adhere to policies related to workplace safety.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Housekeeping management role, preferably in a 4 or 5-star hotel environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A proven track record of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests.
