Job Description

At LUXXE Outsourced Hotel Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team in Cairns. This is a critical role that requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with both guests and hotel staff.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality service and has experience leading teams in a 4 or 5-star housekeeping department. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire their team members to achieve excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that all rooms are cleaned to a high standard and meet the required quality standards.
  • Conduct daily room inspections to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of room counts, payroll, and billing to ensure compliance with the Hospitality Industry General Award.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency within the team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and high-quality guest experiences.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry software and systems.
  • Experience in conducting workplace safety audits and implementing safety procedures.
