Business Partner Role Overview

The People and Culture Business Partner plays a vital role in aligning the organization's objectives with employee engagement and management team goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and support to management and staff on operational people and culture matters, including recruitment, policy implementation, and contract interpretation.
  • Support generalist people and culture functions with execution of various activities.
  • Coordinate performance review processes for the organization.
  • Raise requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with established practices.
  • Participate in wider people and culture projects, taking responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Carry out additional tasks within your skill set as assigned by the Coordinator, People and Culture Operations.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field, coupled with demonstrated industry experience.
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to management on resolving complex disciplinary and industrial relations matters.
  • Capacity to interpret and implement policies and contracts effectively.
  • Understanding of Local Government employment legislation is preferred.
  • Strong consultation skills and experience working with executives.
