Job Description

As a structural engineer, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating the critical structural assets of our port infrastructure project in Queensland. You will be responsible for developing remediation scopes to improve structural integrity and advising on long-term strategies to ensure the reliability of these assets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct on-site structural assessments to evaluate asset conditions and provide recommendations for improvement.
  2. Develop comprehensive remediation plans to address structural deficiencies and enhance overall asset performance.
  3. Collaborate with the existing engineering team to ensure seamless integration of your expertise and promote knowledge sharing.
  4. Mentor and support junior engineers to foster their growth and development within the team.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements.
  6. Engage with stakeholders to align engineering solutions with long-term asset management objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering (B.Eng.).
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in structural engineering, particularly in marine and port infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience in asset management, bulk material handling, and civil construction.
  • Strong understanding of structural risk management and remediation strategies.
  • Prior experience working on-site in an operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and manage the structural integrity of large-scale industrial assets.
  • FIFO flexibility within Queensland or NSW (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers.
