About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our multidisciplinary team at the Australian Institute of Marine Science. As a key member of our team, you will apply cutting-edge modelling approaches to adapt existing coral population models and contribute to the development of an interpretation framework for the Reef Integrated Monitoring and Reporting Program.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a PhD in Environmental Science or a relevant discipline, experience in managing large datasets and conducting complex statistical analyses, including developing models in the R statistical environment. You will also possess well-developed interpersonal and communication capabilities to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring that the framework developed is fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply cutting-edge modelling approaches to adapt existing coral population models
  • Contribute to the development of an interpretation framework for the Reef Integrated Monitoring and Reporting Program
  • Manage large datasets and conduct complex statistical analyses
  • Develop models in the R statistical environment
  • Interact with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the framework developed is fit for purpose
