Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and research programs that align with James Cook University's Corporate Strategy
  • Conduct research that advances JCU's research profile in pure and applied science relevant to understanding, protecting, and managing the northern Australian marine estate
  • Develop and implement research projects that utilize marine technologies and modeling to inform management
  • Supervise research internships, honours, and/or postgraduate students

Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent qualification in marine geoscience or related discipline
  • Minimum of two years postdoctoral research, teaching, or industry experience or equivalent
  • Expertise in the application of marine technologies and modeling
  • Demonstrated excellence in research and teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
