Medical Education Officer

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to support the wellbeing and development of medical staff through continuing education programs.

  • Collaborate with other staff within Medical Education, Medical Workforce, and various education roles to develop, implement, and evaluate education opportunities.
  • Provide high quality coordination and administration services to support the Basic Physician Trainees (BPTs) program, including building our library of resources and coordinating specialist lectures, practice exams, and training evenings.
  • Serve as a key contact for practice exam patients and ensure all education activities align with best practice initiatives, organisational priorities, and accreditation requirements from various external agencies.

Your New Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Manager of Medical Education and other key stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate education opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain our library of resources including recordings of education sessions, and coordinate specialist lectures, practice exams, and training evenings.
  • Act as a key contact for practice exam patients.
  • Ensure all education activities align with best practice initiatives, organisational priorities, and accreditation requirements from various external agencies.

About You

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (teaching / education, health sciences, management) and/or equivalent experience in healthcare education.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop, implement, and evaluate educational opportunities for medical staff.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills allowing you to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Be flexible with working hours.
