About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Insurance Claims Specialist. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for assessing and processing property insurance claims related to natural disasters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the department, other agencies, and external contractors.
  • Assess and compile claims to meet the department's property insurance process from natural disaster events.
  • Collaborate with the claims assessing team to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims.
  • Implement and refine the property insurance claims process, working closely with contractors and internal resources.
  • Provide management with accurate and authoritative advice on claims-related matters.
  • Support emerging priorities and respond to reactive issues and risks to meet management requirements.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary degree in business, engineering, or public policy, or extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience in insurance claims or general process management is highly desirable.
