Job Description

Philips, a leading global healthcare company, is seeking a customer-oriented engineer to join our team in Brisbane, responsible for servicing QLD/NT and Northern NSW regions. This role will specialize in our MR, Ultrasound portfolio, providing expert technical advice on maintenance, installation, and servicing of our medical equipment.

Your Challenge

This is a critical customer-facing role with responsibilities of maintaining and developing robust customer relationships. You will work collaboratively with the wider organization to provide exceptional service to our customers, including corrective & preventative maintenance, commissioning & installation of equipment, and software & hardware upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support and maintenance services to customers, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
  2. Participate in the sales process, providing expert technical advice and support throughout the entire life cycle of our customer relationships.
  3. Manage and support technical escalations, ensuring all stakeholders are updated on progress according to company process.
  4. Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge through continual training and development, staying up-to-date with new technologies relevant to your area of focus.
  5. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction.
  6. Be able to work reasonable additional hours outside business hours as necessary to efficiently and effectively carry out the job role.

Requirements

  1. Previous experience in customer-facing service engineering roles, preferably in the medical equipment industry.
  2. Hold a Restricted Electrical License.
  3. Hold a degree-level education or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  4. Strong IT skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Hold a full AU driver's license and have Australian working rights.
  6. Police checks will be required during the onboarding process.
