Waterway Health Manager

Job Opportunity

This is a dynamic role within the environmental policy team, focusing on developing and implementing key policies and projects to support waterway health and management in Victoria.

The Policy Officer will work closely with the Environmental Policy team to deliver actions in the Victorian Waterway Management Strategy and Water is Life.

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance waterway health and management
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve project goals
  • Contribute to the development of policies and programs that align with the organization's vision and objectives

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree qualification or higher, preferably in science, environmental engineering, natural resource management, environmental law, or a relevant equivalent
  • Demonstrated expertise in policy and project management
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

Desirable Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Victoria's water resource management framework and/or impacts of climate change on water resources (surface water and/or groundwater) or waterway health outcomes
  • Skills, experience, and knowledge of Aboriginal Culture and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal Victorians today
