We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Officer to join our team and contribute to the development of key policies and projects that support waterway health and management in Victoria.

The successful candidate will have proven policy and project management skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration experience. They will be able to work effectively with delivery partners and communicate clearly with Aboriginal communities.

Essential Requirements
  1. A degree qualification or higher, preferably in science, environmental engineering, natural resource management, environmental law, or a relevant equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of Victoria's water resource management framework, and/or impacts of climate change on water resources (surface water and/or groundwater) or waterway health outcomes.
  3. Demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge of Aboriginal Culture and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal Victorians today to deliver culturally informed government policies and services.

This is an ongoing position with hybrid work arrangements available. The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment screening, including a Declaration and Consent form and a National Police Check.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess work rights for the employment period. Appointment to an ongoing position is only available to an Australian/New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.
