Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fashion Purchasing Specialist to contribute to our dynamic Buying Team. This role is pivotal in driving our growth and success in the fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Buyers and Planners to curate a diverse womenswear collection tailored for both local and international markets.
  • Execute purchasing strategies aligned with monthly budgetary goals and product plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee the replenishment of top-selling items and essential lines to optimize revenue.
  • Ensure assortment depth and size distributions are relevant and reflect sales trends.
  • Take responsibility for the comprehensive execution of category ranges, from product selection to order placement and financial outcomes, ensuring key performance indicators are met.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of product performance and sales trends, identifying top and underperforming items and potential growth areas.
  • Analyze daily sales metrics to inform and refine purchasing strategies.
  • Provide insightful feedback on product performance to design teams, guiding future product development.
  • Achieve margin targets in accordance with business objectives.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Participate in the Open-to-Buy (OTB) process, including sales forecasting and inventory management.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of market competitors and industry trends.
  • Analyze category performance and purchasing trends across various platforms to deepen understanding of customer preferences and business dynamics.
  • Regularly assess future orders and current inventory, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Social Teams to ensure featured items are effectively promoted in campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a buying role within the e-commerce apparel sector.
  • Proven expertise in merchandise planning, OTB management, and return on investment principles.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of global fashion trends and their implications.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Able to manage a substantial workload while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, fostering relationships across various departments.
