Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the replenishment of top-selling items and essential lines to optimize revenue.
  • Ensure assortment depth and size distributions are relevant and reflect sales trends.
  • Manage the complete process of category range execution, from product selection to order placement, ensuring timely delivery and financial success.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of product performance and sales trends, identifying both high and low performers and potential growth areas.
  • Analyze daily sales metrics to inform buying strategies.
  • Provide insights and feedback on product performance to design teams, guiding future product development.
  • Meet intake margin targets in accordance with corporate objectives.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Contribute to the Open-to-Buy (OTB) process, including sales forecasting and product markdown strategies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitive landscape and market dynamics.
  • Analyze category performance and buying patterns across various storefronts to gain insights into customer preferences and business performance.
  • Regularly assess future orders and current inventory levels, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Social Teams to ensure key products are highlighted in promotional campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a buying role within the ecommerce apparel sector.
  • Proven expertise in merchandise planning, OTB management, and ROI principles.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of global fashion trends and market dynamics.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Able to manage a demanding workload and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of building relationships across various departments.
