The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Visual Merchandiser to join our team in Australia. As a Senior Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for leading all in-store visuals and implementing creative solutions to support the overall sales of the store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop a junior VM team member on all creative and store standards
  • Plan and execute in-store creative concepts, including windows and mannequins, to drive the brand vision and deliver a world-class shopping experience
  • Initiate and implement innovative VM & creative solutions to support store functions
  • Organize and execute the set up for all promotional events/installations for the brand and the store
  • Educate the team on maintaining visual merchandising standards
  • Communicate brand and product knowledge to Department Managers and store-based team
  • Complete daily walkthroughs with the Store Manager to ensure visual priorities are presented to the JD standard and will attract, engage, and motivate customers to purchase
  • Support the Store Manager to plan and manage multiple key priorities in the store from campaign launches, visual merchandising, stock management, and in-store marketing
  • Inspire, train, and support the store-based team to drive a world-class experience for JD customers
  • Engage in housekeeping tasks to upkeep store presentation standards
Requirements
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar role within a high turnover, large format fashion retailer
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Visual Merchandising (Cert IV / Diploma) is favorable
  • Strong knowledge of fashion and our brands
  • Passionate about creating a great customer shopping experience
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to execute daily priorities in a timely manner
  • Confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Ability to adapt to continuously changing processes and procedures due to JD Sports business rapid growth
