Lead Educator and Centre Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced educator with a passion for leading and developing a team. As a Lead Educator and Centre Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of our licensed childcare centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.

  • Oversee the daily operation of the childcare centre, including staffing, budget management, and communication with parents and stakeholders
  • Lead and support the professional development of Childcare Educators and Teachers, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, following all policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Foster a positive and inclusive culture that promotes teamwork and respect for diversity

You will also be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting the team in achieving their goals and objectives
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve the quality of care and education provided to children
  • Monitoring and evaluating the centre's performance and making recommendations for improvement
  • Building relationships with parents, stakeholders, and the local community
Requirements:
  • ACECQA approved Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed childcare centre or similar setting, including experience in a leadership role
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
