The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Engineer to join our Power & Energy Team in Townsville. In this role, you will be responsible for providing design engineering knowledge and effective project management skills to support the ongoing activities of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage risk on substantial projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Deliver best client outcomes that have provided cost savings and improved project efficiency.
  • Effectively lead small teams and contribute to building the technical capability of others.
  • Develop client relationships and provide advice on complex technical tasks.
  • Successfully monitor and manage the scope and risk of multiple projects and apply business systems.
  • Prepare complex technical reports and successful proposals on various projects.
  • Utilize good time management skills to efficiently plan workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Effectively work across a variety of projects, learning and applying new skills and knowledge quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide supervision to other staff and engage key stakeholders to result in superior project outcomes.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Relevant professional industry experience in design of Power & Energy projects.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex nature.
  • Client service orientation and proven ability to manage projects to scope, cost, time, human resources, communication, procurement, quality, and risk.
  • Competent business planning, budgeting, and commercial acumen.
  • An understanding of the business/organization/marketing context of business solutions.
  • Well-developed consulting skills and maintaining an industry awareness.
  • Familiar with relevant Australian Standards and specifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Skills in undertaking a co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment.
