As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing significant technical design capabilities in the brownfield and greenfield mining and minerals processing industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confidently provide technical mechanical, materials handling, and piping expertise from concept through to detailed engineering and commissioning.
  • Provide technical support to the Mechanical team.
  • Effectively communicate planning outputs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work on multiple projects in a multi-disciplinary drafting and engineering environment.
  • Ensure the Safety in Design principles in all aspects of mechanical engineering outputs.
  • Continuous improvement of the mechanical and piping design guides and the production of technical notes for use across the team.
  • Provision of succinct updates and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Timely and proactive resolution/escalation of potential discrepancies.
  • Preparing proposals and scopes of work for competitive tender processes.
  • Prepare and review the production of mechanical package deliverables.
  • Assisting with construction and commissioning including occasional site-based work if/as required.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • CPEng/RPEQ required.
  • 10+ Years Mining/Minerals Processing Experience.
  • Significant engineering design experience.
  • Great multi-tasking and communication skills.
