Job Opportunity

We are seeking an Infrastructure Planning Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in assisting with the delivery of Local Government Infrastructure Plan review and amendments, as well as various associated projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with experience in infrastructure planning and/or land use planning to contribute to shaping the Gold Coast's future.

  • This position involves undertaking research, drafting policy, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement in relation to Principal Land Use and Infrastructure Planning.
  • You will prepare and present reports to committees and management on project milestones and related documents.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing and amending the Local Government Infrastructure Plan, preparing an infrastructure charging and offset plan, and providing strategic infrastructure policy for upcoming planning initiatives.
About The Role

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, consultation, and presentation skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge in Urban and Regional Planning, Infrastructure Planning, or Civil Engineering, and be passionate about working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
