**About Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3**:
Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast's expected population growth in the coming decades.

As construction of GCLR3 gets under way, John Holland is actively recruiting for a talented and driven Planner to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic Gold Coast project.

**About the role**:
Working closely with the delivery team, our Planner will work to support detailed programmes and monitor performance to deliver best quality projects on time and on budget.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Implement planning strategies and reviews for the project
- Ensure project planning activities are conducted in accordance with John Holland policies and procedures
- Lead a planning and controls culture across the project with a focus on best practice, risk management, cost control and SQE
- Compile and collate reference and benchmarking data for future planning purposes
- Support the wider project team in report interpretation analysis of project performance, forward planning and development of corrective actions

**To be successful in this role, you must have**:

- Tertiary qualified in Engineering, Construction, Building Sciences, Architecture or Project Management
- 2+ years' experience in Construction, Engineering, Planning or Project Controls
- Previous experience in the planning process and the use of schedule risk management
- Well versed in the use of planning software and tools such as Earned Value, Primavera Project Planning, Time Chainage Charts as well as Critical Path Analysis
