Job Title:

Companion Care Assistant

About the Role:

You will provide high-quality support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and live with dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living tasks, offer emotional support, and provide meaningful companionship.
  • Domestic Assistance – Supporting with household chores such as washing, ironing, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Meal Preparation – Assisting with planning, preparing, and cooking meals.
  • Personal Care Support – Helping with showering, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene needs.
  • Social Engagement – Providing companionship and encouraging participation in social activities and community engagement.
  • Transport Services – Offering transport for appointments, shopping trips, and social outings.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Reliable C Class Motor Vehicle for travel between customer locations.
  • Current accredited First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Covid-19 and Flu vaccinations (highly recommended).
  • Basic computer and smartphone literacy.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience in Home Care or Disability Support.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community).
Personal Qualities:
  • Empathy – understanding and sharing the feelings of others.
  • Patience – staying calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Communication – clear and respectful interaction with clients and families.
  • Reliability – being dependable and consistent in care delivery.
  • Adaptability – adjusting to different needs and environments.

Please note that a current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are required for this role.
