About Reservations Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with our team in Hamilton Island Marina. As a Reservations Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, assisting with inquiries and bookings.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Staying up-to-date with our products, timetables, and promotions.
  2. Managing email, phone, web chat, and direct bookings accurately.
  3. Processing payments and finalizing EOD cash-ups correctly.
  4. Checking and finalizing QA bookings, applying promotions.
  5. Booking third-party providers accurately.
  6. Staying informed on Reservations Policies and Procedures.
  7. Preparing paperwork and manifests for the next day's operations.
  8. Responding to customer feedback per Policies & Procedures.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong customer service and sales skills, with the ability to convert inquiries into bookings.
  • Proficient with MS Office and comfortable with technology and communication devices.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
  • A high-energy, motivated team player who collaborates well.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to outstanding service; familiarity with Custom Linc or similar reservation platforms is desirable.
  • At least 1 year of customer service or sales experience.
  • Australian driver's license (desirable).
  • Certificate II in Tourism or Business Admin (desirable).
