Cruise Whitsundays, based in Airlie Beach, is the largest marine-based tour and transport provider in the Whitsundays. About The Role
We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Reservations Consultant in our vibrant team. This permanent full-time position is based at the stunning Port of Airlie.
As the first point of contact for our valued customers, you'll help them discover and book their dream experiences. Reporting to the Customer Service & Sales Manager, you'll assist with enquiries and ensure their journey with us is unforgettable.
Key responsibilities will include :
- Stay updated with all Cruise Whitsundays products, timetables, and promotions.
- Manage bookings accurately from email, phone, web chat, and direct sources using Custom Linc.
- Process payments and complete end-of-day cash-ups correctly.
- Check and finalise QA bookings, applying promotions as applicable.
- Coordinate bookings with third-party providers precisely.
- Adhere to Reservations Policies and Procedures.
- Collect and provide catering information.
- Deliver excellent service in the Retail Store and upsell merchandise.
- Prepare paperwork and manifests for the next day's operations.
- Respond to guest feedback professionally, following policies and procedures.
About You
You are an enthusiastic, motivated individual with a strong focus on customer service and sales, eager to make a splash in our team With a positive energy, you enjoy your work and aim to create memorable experiences for our customers.
To be successful in this role, you will have / be :
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills. You excel at providing outstanding service and converting enquiries into bookings with your knowledge and friendly approach.
- Comfortable with technology and communication devices, managing various customer interactions efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to connect with customers and provide necessary information.
- Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and maintain a solution-focused mindset.
- A team player with high energy and a positive attitude, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high standards in all tasks.
- Minimum 1 year's Customer Service / Sales experience.
- Certificate II in Tourism or Business Admin (desirable).
- Driver's License (desirable).
- Familiarity with CustomLinc or similar reservation platforms (desirable).
- Flexibility to work hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays between 6:30 am and 7:15 pm.
