Therapy Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Therapy Support Assistant on a permanent part-time basis. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for providing support in various therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mobility and exercise programs under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.
  • Develop and implement recreational and therapeutic activity programs under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Participate in the organization and planning of therapy sessions.
  • Deliver a range of therapy-based activities as directed by senior staff.
  • Ensure accurate documentation is maintained in line with relevant guidelines.
  • Accompany resident groups on outings and ensure their safety and well-being.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • A genuine interest in working with older people.
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Aged Care experience, particularly in Dementia care.
  • Empathy with the elderly.
  • Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
