Land Acquisition Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Manager to join our team. As a key member of our renewable energy development team, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring suitable land for our solar PV, battery energy storage system (BESS), and hydrogen projects.

Your primary objective will be to shape the future of renewable energy by conducting thorough research and analysis to identify potential sites that meet our project requirements and specifications.

You will assess the feasibility of these sites, considering factors such as environmental impact, zoning regulations, and infrastructure availability. Once identified, you will initiate and lead negotiations with landowners to secure land rights for our renewable energy projects.

Collaborating closely with our legal and financial teams, you will ensure that land acquisition agreements align with our company objectives and comply with regulatory requirements.

As a seasoned professional in land acquisition, you will have a proven track record of leasing, purchasing, and licensing rural and utility property assets. Your expertise in regulatory processes, zoning laws, and environmental considerations related to renewable energy development will be invaluable to our team.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Strong project management skills and attention to detail are also essential for this role.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law, property, land, or estate management
  • Proven experience in land acquisition, focusing on rural and utility property assets
  • Renewable energy industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory processes, zoning laws, and environmental considerations
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with GIS and other land mapping tools
  • Fluent English language skills
