We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Tailings Design Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced individual who can apply their knowledge of geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology, process, geochemistry, water, and civil engineering to design safe and compliant facilities.
About the RoleThis position offers the chance to contribute to and manage innovative and challenging projects, including tailings storage facilities and water storage facilities. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and be able to apply their expertise to develop and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Civil/geotechnical/tailings dam design;
- Geotechnical analyses using various software packages;
- Understanding of tailing deposition modeling;
- Geotechnical and environmental site characterization;
- Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
- Project/task management and proposal preparation support;
- Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications;
- Client development.
