Our Maternity Services
Our Maternity Ward is a state-of-the-art facility, staffed by a team of experienced midwives, obstetric registrars, and consultants. We provide a comprehensive range of services, from routine pregnancies to high-risk conditions, with a focus on family-centered care. Our multidisciplinary environment fosters excellence in the management of complex pregnancies, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for expectant mothers.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Midwife to join our team on an ongoing full-time or part-time basis. As a key member of our maternity team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, women-centered care across the full scope of the maternity journey. Your duties will include:
- Working collaboratively with a cohesive team of midwives and broader healthcare professionals to ensure safe patient care.
- Empowering and supporting women and their families to meet their needs, advocating for their choices and care where safe to do so.
- Providing education and mentorship to women and families, as well as junior staff.
- Assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and reviewing care in partnership with the broader Monash Women's teams.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- APHRA registration to practice independently as a registered midwife.
- Proven experience and knowledge working in an acute maternity service.
- Outstanding communication and time management skills, coupled with delivering evidence-based, holistic patient-centered care.
- A willingness to participate in quality and/or research projects to improve the standard of midwifery care.
