Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Midwife to join our team at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton. As a key member of our maternity team, you will provide high-quality, woman-centred care to expectant mothers and their families.

About the Role

As a Registered Midwife, you will work collaboratively with a cohesive team of midwives and broader healthcare professionals to ensure safe patient care is provided to our women. You will empower and work closely with women and their families to meet their needs across the continuum, being an advocate for their choices and care where safe to do so.

You will provide education to women and families, and mentor junior staff. You will assess, plan, develop, implement, and review care in partnership with the broader Monash Women's teams.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge:

  • APHRA registration to practice independently as a registered midwife
  • Proven experience and knowledge working in an acute maternity service
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills, coupled with delivering evidence-based, holistic patient-centred care
  • Willingness to participate in quality and/or research projects to improve the standard of midwifery care
