Job Description

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to fill the role of Commercial Lawyer - In-House. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and support across a broad range of commercial areas, including contract drafting, negotiation, and management.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience in the FMCG industry is highly regarded, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts to ensure they meet our business needs and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Legal Advice: Provide practical legal advice to senior stakeholders on commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters, ensuring our business remains up-to-date with changing laws and regulations.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with marketing, sales, supply chain, and procurement teams to provide timely and effective legal input, ensuring our business operations run smoothly.
  • External Counsel: Manage external counsel where required, ensuring our business receives high-quality legal services at competitive rates.
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance: Assist with governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, ensuring our business operates within the law and maintains a strong reputation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in a leading law firm and/or in-house environment, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Commercial Law: Strong background in commercial law, with a focus on contract law, corporate law, and employment law.
  • Drafting and Negotiation: Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a commercial and solutions-focused approach.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Proactivity: A proactive, collaborative, and hands-on style, with a focus on delivering results-oriented outcomes.
