The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Australian-qualified Senior Commercial Lawyer to join our Commercial & Regulatory Practice Group. As a key member of our team, you will work on a broad range of commercial matters, including contract negotiation and compliance.

You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as advising clients on regulatory compliance matters. Our team services small, medium, and enterprise-level clients, with a focus on providing efficient, cost-effective, and quality legal services.

This is an opportunity to practise law differently, with autonomy and flexibility, while working alongside legal experts who genuinely care about and are invested in your professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including Goods & Services Agreements, Manufacturing Agreements, Distribution Agreements, IP Assignment & Licensing Agreements.
  • Advising clients on regulatory compliance matters, such as privacy compliance and Australian Consumer Law compliance.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior lawyers, building their skills and knowledge outside of their area of expertise.
  • Owning and building client relationships, taking ownership of all client matters and finding ways to add ongoing value to the client's business.
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years' experience from a reputable legal environment, with demonstrated experience working on commercial contracts and regulatory matters.
  • Brilliant attention to detail, prioritising effectively and focusing on what matters.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including an ability to write in plain English and contribute to industry-leading content.
  • A collaborative mindset, working with smart, fun, and passionate people and learning from them.
