We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Asset Specialist to join our Water and Sewer team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mechanical assets.



About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a trade-qualified individual with experience in mechanical workshops to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your skills to maintain and repair complex equipment.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs on mechanical process equipment across multiple sites, including treatment plants, headworks, and water and sewer networks.
  • Conduct condition assessments of mechanical assets and recommend actions to Team Leaders or Engineers.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical issues, applying engineering solutions in consultation with OEM documentation and staff.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Construction General Induction card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Current Class MR Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar mechanical workshop environment, with proficiency in manual lathes, radial drills, and universal mills.
  • Able to interpret OEM manuals and schematics, and possess experience in pump repair and assembly.
  • Ability to work independently, meet project deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.


What We Offer

This role provides a salary range of $69,500 to $83,400 per annum, plus $18.28 weekly allowance and superannuation benefits.



You will also enjoy a 9-day fortnight work-cycle and participate in a rotating on-call roster. Successful candidates will be required to undertake vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus, and demonstrate their immunity.
