About This Role

We are seeking a dynamic, future-focused professional to join our Smart and Sustainable Places team.

The Opportunity

This role is within a specialized team expanding its capacity in energy and sustainability sectors. You will provide expert advice on renewable energy, land use, development capability, due diligence, planning approvals, smart city frameworks, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level strategic advice on sustainability and resilience principles in project delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery within scope, deadlines, budget, and desired outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies for clients to achieve optimal results.
  • Manage client priorities and expectations effectively.
  • Coach and mentor team members as appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Town Planning, with preferred experience in renewable energy and sustainability sectors.
  • Strong understanding of impacts on the natural and built environment, and strategic policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactive, informed, and decisive in influencing outcomes.
