Senior Social Worker Community Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service

  • Deliver exceptional social work support to individuals with brain injuries and their families through tailored interventions.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across home, community & centre settings.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care. As a senior social worker, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychosocial assessments and counselling services. You will also collaborate with allied health professionals, liaise with external care providers, maintain clinical records and reporting, supervise students and contribute to service planning.

  • Registration: Full practicing membership of the Australia Association of Social Work (AASW) is mandatory.

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and experience in social work assessment and intervention within specialist rehabilitation or mental health settings are essential.

  • Understanding of community-based brain injury rehabilitation is critical.

  • Experience working in strengths-based practice, as well as family and person-centred approaches is highly valued.

  • Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes is required.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.
