About the Role

This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment as a Terminal Operator on a lifestyle roster. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Shift Supervisor within the Port Production Department.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the community, and the environment by adhering to best practices and company policies.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and monitoring automated and semi-automated fixed plant equipment from coal train unloading through to ship loading at the Coal Terminal.
  • Work cooperatively with a motivated team to achieve safe production targets while maintaining a strong focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Shift work and day work operations including housekeeping are essential aspects of this role.

About You
  • Exposure in a Port Operation environment is highly desirable for the successful candidate.
  • Familiarity with fixed plant equipment and experience with automated systems would be advantageous.
  • Bulk materials handling operations or similar experience is necessary for this position.
  • Mobile equipment experience is also highly desired.
  • The ability to operate a Ship Loader is a significant asset.
  • Qualifications and/or experience in Control Room Operations, Electronics, or automation are highly valued.
  • A values-driven, positive attitude, energetic, and well-developed interpersonal skill set is essential for success in this role.
  • Computer literacy with experience in SAP and other operational systems is an advantage.
  • A Maritime Security Identification card (MSIC) is required for this position.
