Job Description

This role oversees the maintenance and restoration of public infrastructure assets, including roads, transport, stormwater, coastal areas, open spaces, parks, sporting facilities, and cemeteries.

Key responsibilities include providing technical advice to Crew Leaders and staff, maintaining council's natural assets, restoring habitats, improving water quality, and reducing the impact of pest plants and feral animals.

The position also involves supporting local environmental volunteer groups, working programs, community events, and activities. Additionally, it requires overseeing bushfire management, coastal, wetland, and wildlife management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualifications with substantial supervisor experience
  • Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management, Landscape Ecology, Biology, or other relevant qualification and experience
  • Accredited chainsaw ticket (Level 2)
  • Agricultural Chemical Distribution Certificate (ACDC)
  • Firefighting supervisor (Vegetation)
  • Current 'C' class manual driver's licence
  • Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD)
  • First Aid Certificate
