About the Role
As an Aboriginal Health Educator at the University of South Australia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Your primary focus will be on developing and delivering innovative curricula that address the unique health needs of Aboriginal communities.
With a strong background in health education and research, you will contribute to the development of academic programs that promote cultural competence and address the disparities in healthcare outcomes for Aboriginal Australians.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, academics, and community partners. A deep understanding of Aboriginal cultures and histories is essential, as is the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will also be expected to engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication. This may involve collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines to develop new theories and models of care that improve health outcomes for Aboriginal Australians.

Salary Information
The annual salary for this position is estimated to be around $90,000-$110,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This includes superannuation contributions and other benefits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver high-quality academic programs that meet the needs of Aboriginal students and the broader community.
2. Conduct research and scholarly activities that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Aboriginal health and education.
3. Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to develop and implement effective solutions to health disparities faced by Aboriginal Australians.
4. Provide mentorship and support to students, particularly those from Aboriginal backgrounds, to help them achieve their full potential.
