Job Title: Operations Director

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven professional to lead and oversee commercial strategy and project execution across our Major Projects portfolio, with a strong focus on engineering and construction delivery in the Power sector.

The ideal candidate will have substantial trade experience preferably gained in an engineering environment and proven experience of leading operations and projects in a multi-discipline engineering design, build and commission operating environment.

  • Develop business strategies, plans, structures, systems and procedures for safe, cost-effective and efficient business operation aligned with long-term business objectives.
  • Provide senior management and strategic leadership, establishing divisional objectives, setting standards, targets and goals, implementing controls and KPIs to measure performance (profit, cost, quality, time) within and across the business.
  • Monitor resource utilization and drive continuous improvement of processes, facilities and resources across operations to improve efficiency, minimize costs, increase quality, safety and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee contract management and commercial execution of all contracts/projects/programs for the major projects portfolio, ensuring risk is mitigated, deliverables are achievable prior to acceptance, changes are approved, and programs/projects are conducted in a controlled and documented manner.

The successful candidate will possess a high level of business acumen with ability to read and interpret financial data, strong communication skills including negotiation and influencing skills, and ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels.
