The Opportunity

  • Partner with managers to provide expert advice and support.
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
  • Guide leaders through workforce planning, onboarding, and employee exits, promoting a smooth transition for all parties involved.
  • Provide timely advice on employment matters, including policy interpretation and compliance.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as performance reviews and absences, enabling data-driven decision making.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate position descriptions and workforce planning documentation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage return-to-work processes and injury claims, prioritising employee well-being and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager to deliver compliance training programs, enhancing organisational knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives focused on retention, recognition, and development, fostering a culture of growth and inclusivity.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and improve HR systems functionality, streamlining processes and reducing administrative burdens.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a generalist HR role, demonstrating expertise and a proven track record.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in analysing HR data and generating meaningful reports, driving business decisions and outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience using integrated HRIS platforms, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure, remaining calm and composed in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong influencing, coaching, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality, integrity, and sensitivity toward diversity and inclusion principles, upholding organisational values and standards.
