Team Leader Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced team leader to oversee the maintenance of streetscapes, parks, and reserves in our city.

The successful candidate will be passionate about their profession, enjoy the challenges of leading a team, and be innovative, agile, proactive, and enthusiastic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead by example and set high standards for the team.
  • To be friendly, supportive, and actively listen to the needs of others.
  • To build strong relationships with team members and external stakeholders.
  • To provide excellent customer service and ensure a welcoming experience for all.
  • To set challenging but realistic goals, reflect on experiences, and problem-solve to achieve results.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Horticulture or Turf Management, or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of three to five years' experience in developing and maintaining streetscapes, parks, and reserves.
  • Previous experience supervising employees and conducting practical staff training.
  • Practical experience with horticultural machinery, mowers, and relevant equipment.
  • A current unrestricted MR (Medium Rigid) class national drivers' licence.
  • Proficiency in using tablets, smartphones, and other electronic devices.
  • A current White Card.
  • A current Basic First Aid Certificate.
  • A current Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and Traffic Controller Certificate.
